Straight to Bucksaw Resort and Marina at Truman Lake on Saturday, May 30th as Crappiemasters and Yeager's Cycle in Sedalia are teaming up to present the Crappiemasters/Yeager's Cycle Big Harley/Big Crappie Ultimate Challenge.  That's right!  The biggest crappie caught and checked in that day during the tournament will roll down the road on a brand new Harley-Davidson Iron 883 Sportster motorcycle valued at nearly $10,000!!!  There will be lot's of other cash and prizes available to win that day as well.  Weigh-In's will take place every 3 hours at 3 different locations on Truman Lake.  Top 10 fish in each 3 hour segment will win cash or prizes, all culminating with the big crappie of the day riding off in the sunset on their new Harley-Davidson Iron 883 from Yeager's!   Entry fee is only $100 per person, and you can fish with up to 3 people in the boat.  This tournament is open to anyone, Crappiemasters member of not!  Mark the date on your calendar, Saturday, May 30th, and don't miss this very cool opportunity, and while your in and around Sedalia, Missouri, stop by Yeager's Cycle just south of the Missouri State Fairgrounds on highway 65 and take a look at Yeager's entire selection of Harley's and accessories.  Just a note, Yeager's also carries the complete line of Polaris Rangers.  Thanks to Larry Yeager and Yeager's Cycle for their partnership.  Someone is going to win the Harley...it may as well be you!  Keep watching and listening for more details soon.

 
Champions Carter and Sheppard Continue With Grenada Victory PDF Print

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters kicked off the 2015 tournament season with a qualifier on Grenada Lake. The Early Bird tournament, sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Mercury Motors, City of Grenada, Grenada County and the Grenada Tourism Council, allows anglers to competed and qualify for the 2015 national championship to be held on Kentucky/Barkley Lake.

The 2014 National Champions, Alan Carter and Tony Sheppard, kept their winning ways going on Grenada Lake by taking first place with 25.97 lbs. Sponsored by the Ozark Rod Company and Crazy Angler, the team fished out of a Triton boat with a Mercury motor, Humminbird electronics and Minn Kota trolling motor. Using Ozark Rods and Crazy Angler slab bandits the team was spider rigging at faster speeds. They fished 6-10 foot waters catching fish 6 foot deep.

2014 Annual Awards Announced At Championship PDF Print

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters anglers received annual awards at the 2014 National Championship welcoming banquet in Greenville, MS.

Angler Team of the Year was Whitey Outlaw and Mike Parrott. The team stayed on top of the points race most of the year, finishing with 1187 points. Sponsored by Rockport Rattlers, BnM Poles, MidSouth Tackle, Humminbird and Minn Kota, the team won $2,5000.00 cash, $1,500.00 Bass Pro Gift Cards and a set of Power Poles. 

The remaining top five were:

2nd Kyle Schoenherr – Rodney Neuhaus  1159 - $1,500.00 cash, $1,000 Bass Pro Gift Cards

3rd Billy Williams – Scott Williams  1146 - $1,000.00 cash, $500 Bass Pro Gift Cards

Alan Carter & Tony Sheppard Crowned 2014 National Champions PDF Print

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail crowned the 2014 National Champion in Greenville, MS.  Alan Carter and Tony Sheppard became the champions with a two day total of 24.56 lbs. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Mercury Motors, Greenville/Washington County Tourism and Visitors Bureau, City of Lake Village/Chamber of Commerce, Trop Casino, Mitchell Distributing and Budweiser, 154 teams competed for the prestigious title. 

Weather was perfect during the pre fishing week with just a couple of small fronts moving through.  Anglers reported catching plenty of fish but were having difficulty catching the big fish.  Many found slowing down and using smaller bait was a key to catching larger fish.
