Unlike the spring weather that seems to change by the hour, one thing remains constant and consistent. David Cox and Steve Hockett generally dominate Grenada Lake in the spring. With a nearly pound and a half lead following the day one weigh in, and predicted severe weather facing the competitors, the Ozark Rods team of David Cox and Steve Hockett held off a charge by the red hot team of Paul and Elizabeth Turner to claim the victory in the 2017 Crappie Masters Mississippi State Championship sponsored by The Renewable Fuels Association "Ethanol Fueled With Pride", American Ethanol, and Bass Pro Shop, and Millennium Marine.

Lake Eufaula, Eufaula, Oklahoma, April 22, 2017 PDF Print

Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail will hold a National Qualifier April 22, 2017 on Lake Eufaula, Eufaula, Oklahoma. Sponsored by Renewable Fuels Association, American Ethanol, Bass Pro Shops, Lake Eufaula Association, and the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce, the tournament will qualify anglers for the 2017 National Championship to be held on Lake Washington, Greenville, Mississippi. 

Late registration is on Friday, April 21, VFW Post 8798, Hwy 9 East, Eufaula, OK 74432. Registration and voucher pick-up will begin at 5:00 PM with the rules meeting beginning at 6:30 PM.

Weigh in will be at South Pavilion Boat Ramp (Peters Point) end of Dabbs Rd off of E1210 Rd, Eufaula, OK 74432. Anglers will fish from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and must be in line by 4:00 PM. The weigh in is open to the public.

A free kids fishing rodeo will be held on Saturday, April 22 at Eufaula Cove Marina (J Dock) 400 Lakeshore Drive, Eufaula, OK 74432. Kids will register from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and will fish from 9-10:30 AM. All kids will receive a prize. Kids will need to bring their own poles and bait.

Hot Streak Continues as Turner's Blaze To Second Victory Of 2017 PDF Print

You may have heard the phrase "being in the zone", it looks like the Tennessee husband and wife team of Paul and Elizabeth Turner are there. The Turner's continue on a run of outstanding tournament finishes that started in 2016 that garnered them the Crappie Masters Male/Female Angler Team of the Year, and hasn't slowed down yet. The pair pulled out a narrow victory under adverse weather conditions and a very strong field of 79 other boats in the Crappie Masters sponsored by The Renewable Fuels Association "Ethanol Fueled With Pride", American Ethanol, Bass Pro Shops, Washington County Convention and Visitros Bureau, Washington County Board of Supervisors, and the City of Lke Village Lakes Washington, Lee, Ferguson, Paradise, Whittington, and Chicot One Day National Qualifier Tournament based out of Greenville, Mississippi Saturday, March 11.
