Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters tournament trail is back at Reelfoot Lake for a one day national qualifier. The one day event is March 1, 2008 and the first tournament held at the lake since the 2007 National Championship which was hosted by Reelfoot Lake. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Toyota Tundra, Mercury Motors, Minn-Kota, Humminbird, Tennessee Tourism and Reelfoot Lake Tourism Council, anglers will have a chance to show their skills, experience the tournament trail and qualify for the 2008 National Championship. The top 20 teams will qualify to fish the 2008 National Championship on Harris Chain of Lakes, Tavares, FL. in October.
Seminar and late entry registration is Feb 29, 2008 at the Buford Ellington Assembly Hall, Hwy 21 E, Tiptonville Tn. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The tournament will began at 7 a.m. March 1, 2008 and will weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. at the Reelfoot Lake State Kirby Pocket. A minimum guarantee of $12,000.00 cash payback and prizes will be award at the tournament. Anglers can register and find more information about the tournament at www.crappiemasters.net.
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Kid’s Rodeo will be held March 1, 2008 and is free for children 12 and under. Parents may bring their kids to fish for prizes and fun. Registration is 8 a.m. and activities are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Blue Bank Park.
