Another single angler takes top spot at Logan Martin Divisional

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters held the Toyota Logan Martin Lake tournament February 23. The divisional tournament brought nice slabs as the winner weighed in over 2 lbs per crappie. Fishing by himself, Harold Rich from Alabama weighed in 14.14 lbs on seven crappie to take the top honors. Rich stated he was jigging with one pole in brush piles using red and yellow home made jigs. He fished 12-18 foot depth waters fishing 3-12 foot deep. First place earned him $1,000.00 plus a Bass Pro Shops Vip card.

Second place went to Charles Wood and Alan Mcginnis from Alabama with a total weight of 13.84 lbs. The fished with pink-white-chartruese jiffy jigs on Wally Marshall rods. They fished 10-20 foot waters at depths of 8-10 foot. Second place earned $600.00.

Darren Carson and Stanley Knight of Georgia took third place with a total weight of 13.23 lbs. The team fished with AWD white and blue jigs on Wally Marshall rods. They fished in 20-28 foots waters 12-13 foot deep. Third place earned $500.00

Big fish was won by G. Stevens and T. Rutherford who weighed in a slab at 2.66 lbs.

The next stop for the tournament trail will be a Nitro Boat Series major one day national qualifier at Reelfoot Lake, Tiptonville, TN. on March 1, 2008.
