The Foodsource team of Kevin and Stephen McElroy took the top spots at West Point Lake in LaGrange Ga. on March 15, 2008. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Toyota, Mercury Motors, Minn-Kota, Humminbird and LaGrange Troup County tourism department of Chamber of Commerce, the Toyota West Point Lake tournament qualified the top 20 teams for the National Championship. Competing against 80 anglers, the McElroys weighed in a total weight of 13.37 lbs beating the closest team with pounds to spare.

The team was long lining with Foodsource using Ozark poles. They were tipping with minnows in the morning and using blue/chartreuse in the afternoon, catching most fish in the morning. Team Foodsource also took big fish honors with a slab weighing 2.82 lbs. First place earned the team $5,000.00.

The second place team of Duard Hullgan and Bud McPherson weighed in 10.92 lbs on seven fish. The team was spider rigging, fishing timber in 6 – 10 foot waters. They used white jigs on Wally Marshall and BnM poles. Second place earned the team $2500.00.

Third place was taken by Road Runner team Coy & Gilford Sipes of Alabama. The team used 1/32 oz Road Runner red heads fishing 5 foot waters with Triple Fish Line and BnM Poles. Third place earned the team $1250.00.

Next stop on the tour is a one day major qualifier on Lake Neely Henry in Gadsden, Al. on March 22, 2008.
