Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail held two Tracker Series tournaments this past weekend. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Toyota Tundra, Mercury Motors, Humminbird, Minn Kota and Manhattan CVB, Tuttle Creek lake in Manhattan, KS. was one of the tournaments and the other was held in Glenwood, MN. on Lake Minnewaska. Wind gust of up to 30 mph made tough fishing for most at both locations.

Charlie Rogers and Kevin Rogers from Missouri won the Tuttle Creek tournament. The team arrived the day before the tournament with just enough time to take a look at the lake having never fished it before. Their slow trolling in 12 foot waters brought in a weight of 8.46 lbs to take first place and a crappie weighing 1.46 lbs to take the big fish of the tournament also. Seneca Distributor and Flint Beverage had a 400.00 bonus for big fish earning the top placing team 1470.00.

Second place went to Lynn Beckwith and Danny Lynn from Kansas with a seven fish weight of 7.57 lbs. Third place went to Roger Riffel and John Wuthon with a total weight of 6.57 lbs.

Minnewaska Lake was the other tournament of the weekend. Held in Glenwood, MN. The tournament had a week delay due to snow. Tournament week brought high winds up to 30 mph and cool temperatures of 45-50 degrees.

Coming out on top was locals Mark Nikolas and Cory Bohn who weighed in 6.71 lbs. on seven fish. The first place team fished at 5-6 foot depths with white and silver tube jigs on Wally Marshall Rods casting bobbers.

Second place went to the team of Laurand Ras and Scott Ras with 6.42 lbs. Third place went to Belinda Wink and Karel Kalve with 6.33 lbs. Wink and Kalve also won big fish with a .81 lbs crappie and won the the top male/female award.
