Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters will hold the Missouri State Championship at Truman Lake, Clinton, MO. on Aug 2 & 3, 2008. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Toyota Tundra, Mercury Motors, Humminbird, Minn-Kota, Clinton CVB, Missouri Tourism and Bucksaw Marina anglers will return to the area having competed for the the Ultimate Challenge at Bucksaw Marina on Truman Lake. The tournament is a two day event open to all anglers and will guarantee a 100% cash payback plus additional sponsor prizes and will qualify the top 20 for the 2008 National Championship to be held at Harris Chain of Lakes in Tavares, FL. The tournament will be filmed by Revive the Outdoors with Cody & Cody and shown on the Sportsman Channel at a later date.
Registration and late entries will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug 1, 2008 with the seminar/banquet beginning at 6 p.m. at the Benson Convention Center in Clinton, MO.
Weigh in will be at Bucksaw Marina. Anglers will fish from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m on day one and will fish from 6 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on day two. Awards and prizes will be award after the weigh in on day two.
A free kids rodeo will be held Aug 2, 2008 at the Bucksaw Marina. Kids 12 & under may bring their poles and bait to fish for prizes and fun. Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with activities from 9 to 11 a.m.
