Two new lakes! Crappie Masters is very pleased to announce that we will be fishing Stockton Lake, Stockton, Missouri this year. A one day national qualifier and grass roots tournament will be held at Stockton Lake on April 10, 2010.
Arkansas here we come! Finally a tournament in Arkansas, which has been one of our goals. The Ultimate Challenge one pole will be held at Conway Lake, Conway, Arkansas on March 26 & 27. We must have 70 boats pre enter by March 15, the last day to enter. After Feb 25 there is a late fee. If for some strange reason we do not reach 70 boats pre entered, we will have a one day national qualifier there. Come on gentlemen! This is a great crappie lake, lets get the entries in! Paul said he had some anglers show him their catch while he was there and they were all over 2.5 lbs.
Grenada Lake tournament is a two day State Championship in 2010, how fun will that be?
Lake Wateree in Camden, SC is also a two day State Championship which will be a great tournament. Plan to attend both, you will not be sorry!
BIG NEWS! Championship qualification has changed. We have been talking about this for years and 2010 will be the beginning of qualifying from the points race. The top 15 from one and two day tournaments will qualify for the championship. The remaining will qualify from points race. Bump down will only be done at the individaul tournaments. Then the team has 30 days to get their entry in, failure to do so will require that team to requalify and the bump down will occur from the points race. We are qualifying 250 teams for 2010.
Championship prefishing has changed. 30 days prior to the National Championship teams may fish with anyone except professional paid guides. Professional paid guides may on fish with team member and/or family member. Teams may still only fish from one boat per team.
2010 Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Youth Championship. This is new and a great addition that has been a long time coming. In 2010, 8 youth 4 youth aged 13 to 15 and 4 youth aged 10 to 12, will fish for scholarship monies when they attend collage on the Sunday after the National Championship. They will team the top eight teams from 7 to noon and weigh in 5 fish. The top placing from each group will win. They will recieve the award when the graduate from High School. Special thanks to Matt Morgan, the 2009 National Champion for kicking this off with a generous donation from his business, Morgan Striping.
