Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Television on Pursuit Channel
Beginning in the 2009 tournament season Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters tournament trail television with Revive the Outdoors with Cody & Cody will be aired on the Pursuit Channel on Direct TV. The channel is 608. The Pursuit channel is a hunting and fishing channel that does not require subscription making the channel an excellent avenue for the outdoors person to get an opportunity to see the shows.
The first Crappie Masters Tournament to air on the Pursuit channel is the 2008 Florida State Championship. It airs January 7, 4pm EST; January 10, 6:30pm EST; January 11, 8:30 am EST.

Schribner and Crigger Rathbun Champs
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters tournament trail came to Lake Rathbun June 13, 2009. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Mercury, Minn Kota, Humminbird, Toyota and Centerville Rathbun Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, anglers competed for over $10,000 in cash and prizes. The pre fishing week was reported as slow fishing. Rain and cloudy skies was present on the final pre fishing day.
Chancey Scribner and James Crigger became the Rathbun Lake champions with a seven fish weight of 10.19 lbs. The team

Campell-Snodgrass 2009 Ultimate Challenge Champions!
The Clinton, Missouri CVB and Bucksaw Marina hosted the second Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Ultimate Challenge. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Mercury Motors, Minn Kota, Humminbird Spike It and Toyota 168 anglers competed fishing with one pole each and artificial bait only. The teams launched or trailered both days from Bucksaw Marina & Resort on Truman Lake. The tournament was filmed by Cody & Cody Revive the Outdoors for airing on Directv 608 Pursuit channel at a later date. The tournament brought in some of the best weights ever at Truman events.

Scott and Larry Buchanan Are The Tennessee State Champions!
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters' Tennessee State Championship was the first for the state of Tennessee. Held on Kentucky lake and sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Mercury Motors, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Paris Henry County COC and the NW Tennessee Tourism, the tournament kicked off with high waters, warm weather and some winds. Held at Buchanan Resort, Garry Mason Mc'd the event and a special guest appearance by Kevin Weldon who performed for the crowd. The tournament was recorded for later airing on the Dish network 230. The two day event was open to all anglers and the winners showed how to make a come back.

Missouri State Championship Comes Down to 100ths of ounce!
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters tournament trail came to Laurie, MO on Lakes of the Ozarks on April 17 & 18, 2009 for the Missouri State Championship. Sponsored by the Tri County Lodging Association, Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber of Commerce, Captain Ron’s, Missouri State Tourism, Bass Pro Shops, Mercury Motors, Minn Kota, Humminbird and Toyota the tournament came down to the final team on the hot seat with .03 lbs being the deciding weight creating one the most exciting finishes of the year. With a two day weigh in held at Captain Ron’s on Lake the Ozarks the crowd enjoyed some great competition as the tournament was filmed by Revive the Outdoors with Cody & Cody for later airing.
Day one leaders Clint Hibdon and Shannon Beckman weighed in seven fish for 10.44 lbs to take the lead being the only team to break the 10 lb. mark on the first day. The team contended with changing weather patterns for day two and a spotter in their boat. Arriving to the scales on day two, they needed 9.30 lbs to take the title. New Crappie Magazine Goes On Sale
A new exciting crappie magazine has gone on sale. The magazine's first issue is out with the April/May 09 copy. Crappie Angler Magazine is published by American Angler-Grizzly Jig tournament angler Wade Mansfield. The magazine is the new up and coming crappie magazine by crappie anglers for crappie anglers.

Pope and Pruitt Win Wateree
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters held a major one day national qualifier on April 11, 2009 at Lake Wateree, Camden, SC. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Mercury Marine, Minn-Kota, Hummingbird, Toyota, and the Kershaw County Chamber and Visitors Bureau, anglers competed with a tough bite as weather brought strong storms off and on making the anglers work to find fish and get bites.
First place Lindy team of Randy Pope and Jerry Pruitt figured it out beating the field by over 2 lbs by weighing in a seven fish total of 11.86 lbs. The team shot docks having practiced it at this lake for a long time. They caught fish on their starting spot and had sit on dock spot for 1 hr before competition started. They caught fish all day long. The fish weighed in mostly came from that one dock. Lindy little nipper and fuzzy grub was the jig of choice and they used 4.5 – 5 foot rods.
