Loake & Rohl win Patoka, Egan & Williams top in North Division

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail held the final 2007 north division tournament on June 6, 2007 on beautiful Patoka Lake in Orange County, IN. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Mercury, Minn Kota, Humminbird and the Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the day turned warm and fishing turned cold. Many fish were caught during pre fishing days with anglers having a harder time finding the big fish.

One team figured it out and took first place for the Patoka tournament. Doug Loake and Ryan Rohl took first place with a seven fish total of 9.21 lbs. The weight was over 3lbs. greater than the closest competitor. The team stated they fished the upper lake in 9-15 feet of water using pink/yellow and white crappie pro jigs on B & M poles. The team won big fish honors with a 1.7 lb. crappie. There showing earned them over $1100.00.

Second place went to Randy Castle of Iowa whom fished alone, jigging one pole on pink and purlple jigs and B & M poles in 6 foot of water. Randy earned $600.00 for his 7 fish total of 5.88 lbs.




Team Fred Willis and Tony Sherrill of IN. took third place and $500.00. Weighing in 7 fish for a total 5.87 lbs. They fished up the river with jigs and power grubs. Fourth place went to Craig Money and Steve Money with a total weight of 5.71 earning them $400.00. Fifth place was takend by Bill Egan and Tony Williams with a total weight of 5.38 lbs.earning $300.00, While 6th place was taken by husban-wife team Richard and Marcella Rambo with 4.56 lbs.

The North Division champion went to Bill Egan and Tony Williams. Their combined two divisional tournaments weight of 15.13 gave them the North Division title. Hydroglow's husband wife team of Phill Rambo and Eva Rambo took third in the overall division with 10.46 lbs. Third place went to Dan Reckolhoff and Ed Ploenter with 6.81 lbs. on the combined weight.
