Mississippi State Championship, Harrah's Tunica!

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters All American tournament trail comes to Tunica, Mississippi on Lakes Arkabutla and Tunica, September 19 & 20, 2008 for the Mississippi State Championship. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Toyota, Mercury Motors, Minn Kota, Humminbird, Harrah’s Casino, A & B Distributors, Mississippi Distributors and Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau this is the last chance to qualify for the 2008 National Championship to be held in Tavares, Florida on Harris Chain of Lakes in October.

A media fish off will be held at September 18 and will be leaving from Harrah’s Casino.
This is an open two day tournament with no pre qualifications. Registration for teams and late entry is on September 18, 2008 at the Harrah’s Casino Tunica at 5 p.m., with the seminar and banquet following at 6 p.m. The tournament weigh in on Lake Arkabutla on September 19, 2008 will be at Hernando Point, anglers will fish from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must be in line by 4:30 p.m. Day two anglers will fish Tunica Lake with the weigh in at Harrah’s Casino. The final 20 teams from day one will do a drive thru weigh in sponsored by Huey White Chevrolet. Teams will fish from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Awards will be given at the end of the weigh in on day two. This event will be filmed by the Sportsman Channel Revive the Outdoors with Cody & Cody for airing at a later date.

Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Kid’s Fishing Rodeo is on Sept 20th at the Tunica Expo Fishing Pond and is free for children 12 and under. Parents may bring their kids to fish for prizes and fun. Bring your bait and poles. Registration is 8 a.m. and activities are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Next up is the National Championship as Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters will return to Tavares, FL. in October of 2008. Anglers from around the United States will compete to become the Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters 2008 National Champions.
